SR-Weatherprotect® from SR Webatex is characterised by properties such as a low weight and its very high UV protection factor of 80, which it retains even when subjected to extreme external weather conditions. This ruggedness has been tested and confirmed by the Hohenstein laboratory.
The SR-Weatherprotect® fabric has been specially developed for use in outdoor awning and roofing systems. The fabric’s properties therefore make it suitable for applications requiring protection from solar radiation, durability and above-average qualities as a flame-retardant material.
Certificate from the Hohenstein lab
The durability and weather-resistant properties of SR-Weatherprotect® have been tested by the Hohenstein lab. The Hohenstein lab is an accredited testing and certification laboratory and research institute for textiles. What does this mean specifically for SR-Weatherprotect®?
Our house brand for extreme weather conditions has been tested by the lab’s experts against the “UV Standard 801” product quality mark. SR-Weatherprotect® has therefore not only been carefully tested for its tolerability of wetting and stretching, but also against intense solar radiation. The conditions applied in this test are much more stringent than even the Australian standard AS/NZS 4399:1996 or the European standard EN 13758-1.
UV radiation can pose a health hazard if people expose themselves to direct sunlight on regular occasions. The benefit for users here lies in the long-term, reliable protection from UV radiation offered by SR-Weatherprotect®.
