Consistent implementation

SR Webatex already considers the aspect of sustainability in the development phase of new products.  Materials are chosen in accordance with the final purpose of the fabric. Supply selection is carried out systematically using an internal supplier evaluation.

We attach great importance to the local yarn procurement in order to reduce transportation distances. The fact that we produce in Germany allows us to act flexibly for the benefit of our clients.

This approach of sustainablility is applied systematically in all departments and sectors within SR Webatex.  Our weaving mill is innately low waste and the little waste that is produced is either reused in an environmentally friendly way or professionally disposed.

Considered actions save additional work steps, which also avoids unnecessary power consumption. One example of this is the use of client bobbins to roll the fabric onto directly after the weaving process. Another environmentally friendly procedure is the utilisation of reusable pallets to store and ship the goods, thus saving packaging materials.

Our laboratory uses a wide range of tests to ensure the quality of our products and thus also contributes to more awareness with regard to our use of raw materials.
