Consistent implementation

SR Webatex already considers the aspect of sustainability in the development phase of new products. Materials are chosen in accordance with the final purpose of the fabric. Supply selection is carried out systematically using an internal supplier evaluation.

We attach great importance to the local yarn procurement in order to reduce transportation distances. The fact that we produce in Germany allows us to act flexibly for the benefit of our clients.

This approach of sustainablility is applied systematically in all departments and sectors within SR Webatex.  Refuse from our innately low-waste weaving mill is either reused in an environmentally friendly way or professionally disposed.

Well-considered actions save additional work steps, which in turn avoids unnecessary power consumption. One example is the use of client bobbins, on which the fabric is coiled directly after the weaving process. Another environmental-friendly procedure is the utilisation of reusable pallets to store and ship the goods, thus saving packaging materials.

Our laboratory applies a wide range of tests to ensure the quality of our products and thus also contributes to a higher awareness regarding the use of raw materials.
